Keep the floor running and the office secure, on one network.
Segmented networks so a phishing click in the office can’t reach the machines, backups that are tested, and CMMC Level 1 support.

What’s different here
An hour of downtime on the floor is measured in parts, not emails.
Machines, controllers and the office all share one building, and too often one network.
Machines that can’t be patched
One building, many zones
Defense work
Drawings and programs
The obligation
CMMC Level 1: the basics, done properly and affirmed every year.
Since 10 November 2025, new Defense Department solicitations can require CMMC compliance. For a supplier that handles federal contract information, that means Level 1: an annual self-assessment against the basic safeguarding requirements in FAR 52.204-21, with the result posted in the Supplier Performance Risk System and affirmed by a senior official.
The requirements are practical: limit access to authorized users, verify identities, control what’s connected, protect the network boundary, patch, run malware protection and sanitize media before disposal. We put them in place and keep the evidence your affirmation rests on.
The timing of CMMC’s later phases has changed more than once. We track it and tell our clients when it does.

We support your compliance program with the controls and the evidence. We don’t certify compliance, and we’re not your attorney.

What we set up
Built into the Secured plan, and documented.
Every item below is part of Secured, with the evidence kept for whoever asks.
- Segmented networks, so the office and the floor only meet where you allow.
- Multi-factor authentication on email and remote access.
- Controllers that can’t be patched isolated and recorded as documented exceptions.
- Backups restore-tested monthly, including drawings and machine programs.
- Endpoint detection and response on every office and engineering workstation.
- Media sanitized before any drive leaves the building.
- An asset register that matches the building.
- The evidence your CMMC Level 1 affirmation rests on.
Segmentation
A phishing click in the office can’t reach the machines.
The office, guests and the shop floor on separate networks, joined only where you choose.
- ABefore: one flat networkOffice PCs, guests, cameras and machines can all reach each other
- BAfter: segmented, through a firewallOnly the traffic you allow crosses. The orange line is the one permitted path
