To tell you whether we can help

What we fix

Computers, and the things around them.

Certified computer technicians from the team that runs our managed clients do the repair work. The same standards, the same notes in writing, and a straight answer when a repair isn’t worth doing.

Won’t start

No power, a blue or black screen, stuck on the logo, or a laptop that died overnight.

Virus and ransomware

Pop-ups, renamed files, a ransom note. Cleaned, then checked for how it got in. The first four things to do.

Slow or failing

Machines everyone has learned to work around: storage upgrades, memory, clean-ups and honest advice on age.

Data recovery

Deleted, overwritten, or on a drive that died. A specialist lab when a drive needs one: the evaluation is free, and you approve the price first.

New PCs and Windows 11

New machines set up properly the first time, data moved, and Windows 10 PCs upgraded where the hardware allows.

Printers, Wi‑Fi and small networks

Printers nobody can reach, Wi-Fi that stops at the back office, a router that needs replacing.

QuickBooks, Xero and business apps

QuickBooks certified. Company files, multi-user mode, installs and upgrades, Xero and Wave too, and the vendor call when the fix is theirs.

Office moves

Computers, printers and the network moved, reconnected and working before Monday.

On site or remote

Most fixes start with a screen share.

Remote is faster to start and cheaper to finish. When the problem is a cable, a part or a whole office, we come to you.

Remote

You stay on the phone with the engineer while they connect. Nothing is installed by anyone you haven’t spoken to.

Billed in 15-minute increments, with no minimum. A twenty-minute fix is billed as thirty minutes, not an hour.

On site

Greensboro, Winston-Salem and High Point, and Martinsville and Henry County, and further across the region by arrangement.

A one-hour minimum, then 15-minute increments. We tell you the arrival time on the phone, and the engineer calls if it changes.

Rates

The same rates as everywhere else on this site.

Published, so you’re not wondering. Parts and hardware are passed through at a margin stated before we buy them.

After the fix

The second call is the moment to price a plan.

People call when they’re in trouble. If the same kind of trouble keeps coming back, a flat monthly plan is usually cheaper than the calls, and it comes with monitoring that catches the next failure first.

We’ll tell you honestly whether that’s true for you. Sometimes one afternoon is the end of it.

Questions

Straight answers about repairs.

Do I have to be a client?
No. Most repair calls come from people who aren’t, and they’re answered the same way as everyone else.
Do you charge to tell me whether you can help?
No. Tell us what’s happening and we’ll say whether we can fix it and roughly what it will take before any billing starts.
How soon can someone come out?
It depends on the day and the distance, so we tell you the real time on the phone rather than promise one here. A lot of problems don’t need a visit at all: most repair calls start as a remote session.
What if it isn’t worth fixing?
We’ll say so. If a machine is old enough that the repair costs more than a replacement, that’s what you’ll hear, along with what a replacement would cost.
Can you get my files back?
Often, yes, and we’ll be straight about the odds. If a drive has failed physically, it goes to a specialist recovery lab with a clean room. The lab’s evaluation is free, and you approve the price before any recovery work starts.
Do you sell computers?
We can source them and pass them through at a margin stated on the quote. If you’d rather buy your own, we’ll set them up and move your data by the quarter hour.
Do you work with home offices?
Yes: home offices, and people who work from home for a business. The rates are the same.
